I can't find a suitable category for my business, product or service what do I do?

When you sign up for a Tradespace seller site you should select the closest match of category and channel you can find.

To do this,

• Log in to the BT Tradespace website


• Click on Manage my Tradespace


• Click on Business details tab


• Then select Business Type from the sub menu

Once your in this screen you will notice you need to match your business to the top level category that's relevant. So:
'Select the category appropriate to your business' as your first choice of category.

You can then select the sub channel you want to be visible in (e.g. if you're an advertising company, you may want to feature in Business services category but then select Advertising & promotion as your sub channel).

Once you've decided what sub channel you want to be visible in 'select a channel most relevant to your business'.

You will then be presented with business types and you can then 'select the type that best describes your business'.

For practical reasons we've had to limit the number of channels but that doesn't mean your customers won't find you! They can search to find your site, use the Businesses section or view your products and services in our Marketplace.

Remember, to be found, it's important you ensure you've added good relevant content to your Tradespace, from your business description, to blogs, photos and videos. if you do this, your chances of being found via Google and other search engines will improve sending you the customers you need!
