My customers can't add testimonials?
I've had 3 people now tell me they've tried to add a testimonial to my site and been unable to do so. They have joined BTTradespace but when they try to leave a testimonial they are constantly sent back to the login page. Can anyone help with this?

How does anybody add a testimonial? This another case of the easy made difficult...

Hi there,
In order for customers to add testimonials to your account, we do ask that customer log in first. This is to ensure that all testimonials customer add to your account are from valid customer.
Thanks
Frances-
Sorry to say this has NOT solved the problem

The customers are logged in, but when they try to add feedback they are taken back to the login screen. Some of the customers did not buy from the tradespace site as I also advertise my stock on other fora, is this the problem? If so, it makes me wonder how I have any feedback as the one customer who has left it bought their incense holders direct from me at a local event and added feedback later from the url on my business card.

I'm one of Wolfs customers and bought runesticks in person but can't leave feedback. When I click the button to leave feedback it takes me to a login screen. When I relogin it takes me back to his page, and I click feedback and login AGAIN... it's just a circle and does not allow me to actually leave feedback!

Hi there,
I looked at your account and I think there may have been a temporary problem with your account. I have been able to leave a test testimonial on your site but customers do need to log in with their Tradespace account details to be able to do this.
Please do let us know if this problem occurs again.
Thanks
Frances-
Yes, the problem is still occurring.

it's not temporary and it's still there. I log in but wolfs page does not recognise I am logged in yet other pages do. So I keep getting the login page.

Frances, I received your test feedback bit I am still getting reports that this is not allowing my customers to do so, as Dracona has pointed out.

Hi there,
This seems to be an intermittent issue with your account. I have asked our technical team to look into this and we hope to have this resolved for your soon.

Hi there,
Can I ask how many of your customers have reported this problem and have any of them been able to add testimonials apart from me? We are trying to determine if this issue is occuring for specific customers only or during a specific time period?
Thanks

4 customers so far have reported this problem with Dracona being one. When I first put the site up I received a testimonial but there have been problems with this throughout February. Dracona has also posted to me that she is unable to become a fan of the site for the same reason - she keeps getting redirected to the login screen.
-
-
well it's not intermittent for me. Please note I said that even though I am logged into the site when I go to Wolfs page it does NOT register me as being logged in. As though his site is on a separate server or website. This may be the actual problem.
And no I can't become a fan either.. -
-
Hi there,
We cannot find any issues with other users becomig a fan of or leaving testimonials on Wolf's site. Could I please request your contact details Dracona as I would like to look into to your account to see if the issue lies here.
Thanks

I've not long started my business and afew of my customers want to leave testimonials on my site but don't want to create logins or accounts because of data issues and junk mail.....I cannot convince them but have emails from them giving me a testimonial but I cannot add this either. Is there a way they can do this without creating an account?

Hi Frances, I've just encountered another aspect of this problem. I recently had a couple of members from here add me as fans but when I go to their sites I am not listed as logged in and am asked to log in when I try to add them as a friend. When I go to the login screen it shows me as logged in but takes me straight back to the site where once again I am not logged in. I found if I went to a page where I was shown as logged in and typed the address of the site into the address bar then on occasion it would keep me logged in when the site loaded but this did not work for my customer, who is still unable to log in to the site.
This seems to be more an issue with the login system than with my site in particular, I have had reports from customers in different areas of town, different ISPs, different OS and browser configs and there is still a problem here. -
-
Hi Frances, further to our conversation I have tried to recreate the circumstances above without success. I will try to contact my customers again to see if they are still getting the same problem.

One of my customers has created a personal account in order to leave me a testimonial. Despite being logged in, when she tries to do so she is taken back to the log in page, prompted to log in again, then taken to the BT Tradespace homepage, and so the loop continues. The same thing happens when she tries to become a fan of my site. Seems to be a bug.

H ithere,
I am able to add testimonials to your acount without any issues. Could you get your customer to post a reply on the forum and let me know the URL for their site? Then we can investigate if there is an issue with their account.
Thanks
