Something's busted..... ;)
Hi - I can't change my profile. When I make the changes from the default message of "please don't hesitate to get in touch" (or whatever it is) and then hit the save button, I get "Sorry, there is a problem".
I've tried different computers with different OSs, rebooting, clearing caches and whatever else....

Could you post your tradespace URL so that we can see if we can replicate your issue?
We've been in the process of fixing some bugs that hopefully, if you revisit your account you'll see that these issues have been resolved but let us know if you're still getting these errors and we'll look into it.
